TIXOS Short line is now completed with a new implant:
TiXos Short with 3,75 mm diameter and 5 mm height
Tixos Short implant has been designed for peculiar situations:
• in cases of limited bone height
• to avoid advanced surgery treatments, i.e. sinus lift and bone rigeneration procedures
• as therapeutic alternative to more complex and expensive surgical treatments
• as time and money saving treatment
Like the other Tixos implants, Tixos Short has been produced through DLMF technique (Direct Laser Metal Forming)
and ensures better and faster osseointegration.

Leader Italia system is composed by three separated elements:
titanium base, zirconia abutment and titanium passing screw.

- The hex of the golden gr. 5 titanium base is positioned on the analog and fixed with the passing screw, also in gr. 5 titanium, thus creating a solid structure between implant and base and assuring high structural strength to masticatory loads.
On this structure, the zirconia abutment (straight or pre-angled) is positioned; its anatomical design offers aestethic, natural-looking results and the 360° rotation possibility allows a precise positioning.

In the last issue of the prestigious international Journal of Periodontology an interesting article was published:
Immediate Loading of Mandibular Overdentures Supported by Unsplinted Direct Laser Metal-Forming Implants: Results From a 1-Year Prospective Study.

The study conduced on a total of 96 one-piece DLMF implants (Tixos NANO OVD) inserted in the edentulous mandible of 24 patients, after 1-year loading time shows an implant survival rate of 98.9%, with only one implant lost.
